Senior Mechanical Engineer (El Segundo)

Minimum Qualifications
- BS Mechanical Engineering, or BS Architectural Engineering
- US citizen or permanent resident
- 10+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design engineering
- 2-3 years minimum of Revit project experience
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ambitious self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
Desired Skills
- Revit MEP experience throughout the design and construction process
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, with 10+ years of experience in our field
- Healthcare / HCAI, Commercial, and Data Center Experience
- Energy Code Compliance
- LEED Accreditation
- Client relationship management skills
Responsibilities
- Management of projects and coordination with other disciplines
- Field survey of existing conditions
- Construction administration including construction meeting attendance, submittal review, RFI responses, and field inspection
- Performing calculations, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design, system layout, field investigation, and construction administration
- Providing engineering consulting services, including preparation of due diligence reports, gap analyses, and feasibility reports that comply with market sectors and company standards and procedures
- Producing drawings consistent with client requirements and standards
- Establishing design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects
- Representing the firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members
- Responsible for managing projects for your discipline and addressing any issues as they may arise
- Participating in QA/QC process of completed work by staff
